Retro Arch & Steam Link

Hi,

I am trying to get Retro Arch to work with Steam Link. I am stucked at the second window Retro Arch is opening. Steam Link is loosing the focus, so the controller wont work right.

Is it possible to run Retro Arch in a single window?

Best regards

try adding -D to the launch command

Thank you. I tried that. But then Retro Arch won’t even start. Btw. I am using windows.

I have the same problem, because of the console popping up the controllers don’t function as they should. On the steam forums, where others discussed this problem, a possible (hopefully temporary) workaround at the moment is launching retroarch with launchbox (has an option for avoiding the console window). I found in the github tracker that it is relatively easy to hide the console window ( https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/2188 ) , could someone compile a temporary version so it’s useable for the moment with the steam link? Or point me in the right direction so I could try building it myself :stuck_out_tongue:

This is a good tutorial for building retroarch in Windows: https://gist.github.com/heuripedes/b6da0fea68b648bdd2ae

Hmmm, since we are including retroarch and retroarch-debug builds I guess I could make that flag the default in the release exe, I’ll try to do so tomorrow.

Just tested it out in the latest nightly and it works like a charm
