RetroArch 0.9.7 Bugs Reports

Please post any and all issues you’re having with any of the RetroArch 0.9.7 versions here so that these issues can be fixed in time for the next release.

Don’t forgot to mention which version of RetroArch you’re using - ie. is it the PS3/Wii/Xbox 1/360/Gamecube version or is it PC (Linux/Windows/Mac)?

[PS3-Issue]- [minor issue] prboom libretro core: Changing Prboom’s doom wads.

When changing wads when one is already loaded it will go back to XMB.

(to get around this issue: you just select the prboom.self again even if selected already, then change the game, for anyone who runs into that issue)

OSX isuse - If you try to load PAL PSX games, you get a green screen which says “video system mismatch”. I think it has to do with the Bios that mednafen psx uses.

It’s configured for US atm, so PAL probably won’t work.

(retroarch ps3) Function (defaults) does not work in the main menu, also could not use the (preset shader) with efficiency. Another thing that I think could change is that when I use the function (resize) it also affects the main menu.

Hi, i just want to say that there are shaders that are broken on the ps3 version. I would like to see crt.cg / crtcurved.cg running again.

Yes, that will be fixed.

Hey there, I’m finding that the fast-forward key isn’t working for me. I’m using the bSNES core in Windows. Pause, rewind and slow-motion all seem to work fine. Hope that helps; of course I’m brand new to RetroArch so there could be something I’m doing wrong…

It’s likely that it’s because your computer is running the bsnes core as fast as it can already. Bsnes is very slow; takes a lot of processing power. You might want to try the snes9x core if you want to enjoy the luxury of fast-forwarding.

Thanks for the reply! It actually doesn’t seem to be working for me with the SNES9x core either, nor with any of the other cores I’ve tried (FBA, Genplus). Makes me suspect it’s actually a problem with the keybindings in Retroarch Phoenix or some such.

yeah, that’s odd. It’s not working for me anymore, either, though I know it used to work.

I have tested on Windows with latest Git and it runs fine. If you’re on Linux using ATI cards (and Intel I guess), I have noticed that even though I pass it glXSwapInterval, it just refuses to comply. There should be logs about this.

I do have an ATI card, but I’m running on Windows. I’ll try again later with the latest git release and see how it goes.

I also have an ATI card. HD6770 to be exact.

I have an HD 5850, so it’s hard to believe that could be related, but… Unfortunately, I’m having some trouble building RetroArch from source on Windows, so I don’t know if I can try that out. I am using version 0.9.7. Strangely, I’ve noticed that toggling slo-mo while in the BSNES core does sometimes seem to cause some slight popping with the in-game sound, even though it doesn’t actually speed up the game. I can’t seem to reproduce this consistently, though, so it might not be related.
