Retroarch 1.0.0.2.1 Mupen64Plus problems on iPad Air

Hello,

First of all, I’d like to thank you all for the hard work you’ve put into Retroarch/Libretro. It’s become my favorite thing on my “iDevices”.

So, here’s the problem I’m having:

I tried running Mario 64 on Retroarch 1.0.0.2.1, and although it runs quite well, there are some annoying graphical glitches: some textures keep either flickering or partially disappearing and reappearing. Same thing happens with most shadows in the game as well.

I have tried virtually every settings combination I could think of to try and fix this, with no success. (I’ve even tried running “Rice”, but that broke my Retroarch for N64, I had to delete the core .cfg manually to have it working again).

Of course this is still great fun for me, but I would love it if I got this sorted out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I wish you all a good year!

Cheers!

Have you tried adjusting the polyoffset factor and polyoffset units core options?

No, I haven’t. I will try fiddling with those then. Do you have any suggestions on how I should adjust them?

Either way, I will post my results here after I do some testing.

Thank you!

So, I haven’t been able to fix it using Glide or Gln, but I did manage to get Rice working with a custom ini. And using Rice the issues were seemingly all solved!

I’m a happy camper now!

Cheers!
