If Multithreading comes onto the RetroArch 1.0.0.3 version, will the dualcore chip of iPhones be utilised / optimised?
I’m hoping so, it’d be awesome if RetroArch can use more resource for a better handle in emulation.

Retro emulation (that is, pre-ps2 era) is inherently single-threaded, unfortunately. The chips have to function in strict lockstep, which makes it essentially impossible to spread the emulation across multiple cores. The “Exodus” Genesis/MD emu is the only example I know of that uses a different method for syncing that can be multithreaded, but it barely gets full speed on a new i7, so it’s not a feasible model for mobile at this point, anyway.
Well poopie. Thank you for explaining that to me, hunterk! ;d <3
