This is the output I get when trying to load Super Street Fighter II on the 2010 core. It spits out a similar error on the 2015 core. I notice a repeat of the “Does not have enough samples for monitor refresh rate estimation. Requires to run for at least 4096 frames.” line. I’m not sure what the problem is. Any ideas how I can get this working?

Thanks for mentioning that, but unfortunately I’m getting the same error still.

Edit: Another problem I’m having is that shaders crash the emulator immediately. I load the emulator, go to shader settings (because I guess the general RA shaders in video settings don’t actually effect anything?) select the 4xbr hybrid CRT shader I like and it crashes out. Also, I can’t set this shader to be a default for all emulators which is bothersome.

Same problem here, unrelated to shaders. I’m using a 32-bit system.

Neither 2010 or 2015 work… in other words, I can’t get MAME to work in 32-bit.

Note that on the 64-bit (main PC) everything works flawlessly with the 0.152 core.

Even the simplest ROMs close instantly. I managed to take a screenshot during the split second:

I tried 1.0.0.2, 1.2 and 1.2.2 . It’s unrelated to the version of RetroArch, it appears that there’s no working x86 MAME core.

Do you have the correct ROMs for the core? That is, each MAME core needs a specific ROM set. Other than that advice, we’d need a log of you trying to load a game to have any idea of what’s going wrong.

If you typically use the latest standalone MAME, you’ll want the libretro core with no numbers after it. That is, just regular ol’ MAME rather than MAME2003, etc.

I did that but the game crashed,Please help and guide me with it.Im new into this.I fall in love with retroarch,so i want to make it my default playable games for now on.I have tried different mame core but some gave me microsoft c++ error even i have installed the latest c++ version.My system is 32 bit and i have 4gb ram,With i3 and GeForce GT520M.

That seems to be the issue, but I’m not sure why it’s happening. It looks like it’s trying to use a softlist, perhaps? Did you change the core option to enable softlists?

whats softlist?and NO i didn’t change anything.Everything left untouchable,I just installed the core and straight away testing it,Oh and this error shows up.

I’m not sure if this is necessary, but you can try installing the msvc redist package and see if that helps with the runtime error: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145
