RetroArch 1.3.6 Menu UI Bugs

After updating to 1.3.6 release, I ran into two bugs in the menu UI. I don’t think this is specific to my setup, but maybe how the update reads or interprets existing configs.

  1. The Playlists icon in the menu is a black square rather than an icon like the rest of the menu items.
  2. Disabling History items results in the Main Menu being duplicated under the History menu item.

Has anyone else encountered these issues?

  1. I think this is because there is an empty playlist file in the playlist directory.

  2. I had this and solved it by replacing my retroarch.cfg with a newer one. Had to redo my settings but it fixed the issue.

#1 was spot on. Deleted the empty playlist file and we’re good.

With #2, I’ll probably have to do the same. The configs are at least a couple years old…something must have changed since they were originally generated.

2 was actually a bug that should already be fixed in the latest nightlies.
