Retroarch 32/64bit questions regarding cores

i know v1.7.8 if download from playstore it will use 32-64 version depending on your phone. my question is why is different> 32 has other cores than 64.? i would like to use 64bit but when using this out of 20 games in 32 bit in 64 bit it only finds 1 game.? romset is v2.02

They both use the same database, so dunno why fewer games would scan…

There are some cores, namely picodrive, pcsx-rearmed and gpsp, that are dependent on 32-bit ARM to gain extra speed (and, in pcsx-rearmed’s case, accuracy and a couple of features), so running a 64-bit version loses those perks.

Hi, I take this subject to ask a question. Someone tried doom psx in 64 bit with pcsx ReARMed? I have glitches, walls and ceilings that disappear. I used 32 bits before and it works well. I tried beetle psx which have no glitches but at start menu, the music loop. It seems it’s only at start menu. And that bug is on 32 and 64 bit.

Other games don’t seem to have these problems.

ive only use retro for sega genesis sega cd and mame so fara so cant help.

32- and 64-bit PCSX-ReARMed use a different renderer (the 32-bit one is better/more accurate).

OK, thanks for the info. So I’ll stay with the 32 bit version I guess.
