RetroArch Android: Where can I find these settings?

Newbie user here. I checked the onboard help and the FAQ thread but my questions for how to access these settings and features in RetroArch went unanswered, so…

How do I access savestates?

Does RetroArch Android have onboard IPS patching?

How do I map the controls? (If it helps, I am using a cheapo PC USB gamepad and Sven Killig’s Gamepad IME)

Also, I do not know much in the way of software development, but could I suggest emulation cores to be integrated?

  1. In the android version, I believe the savestate stuff is all done through the overlays by default.

  2. I don’t think so. I believe you’re best off applying the IPS patch separately using LIPS or something similar.

  3. Under Settings > Input Settings, disable autodetection and then you can scroll down to manually assign buttons.

  4. You’re welcome to suggest, but at this point, it’s not very likely unless you can port it yourself or convince the original author to do it, since everyone’s hands are already full maintaining the existing ports on a bazillion different platforms.
