When I boot RetroArch up, it typically will launch whatever content just fine the first time. But once I try switching to something else it very consistently fails and crashes. This happens whether I specifically close content beforehand. It doesn’t happen if I select the restart RetroArch option in between attempts at loading content.
EDIT: I did a bit more testing and it seems to be an issue with, once having already launched one game, launching the next one with a preset shader? That’s the best I can figure out, anyway. Seems fine for the first game to have a preset shader, and the issue doesn’t really occur when I switch to content without a preset shader.
