RetroArch creates unneeded folders in the cheat folder

When you download/update cheats from the online uploader you get a “cheats” folder and some system sub-folders that are named like this:

Nintendo - Nintendo 64 Nintendo - Gameboy …etc.

But RetroArch also creates some extra folders that have the core names, like “ParaLLEl N64”, “Mupen64Plus-Next OpenGL”, etc. These folders are created automatically and, ofc, they are empty. It creates too much clutter IMO and get in the way when you try to find cheats. Can this behavior be fixed/turned OFF?

I created an issue report related to this about a month ago: https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/8740

Those extra Folders are for when you try to Search/Create Cheats of your own, within a specific Core.

Yeah, but it creates them even if you never use any of the cheat stuff. Just a small dumb thing, but I find myself deleting the folder over and over whenever I happen to be in my RetroArch folder.

I haven’t used any of those cheat features but i still get these folders. I think they are created simply by using the cores.
