I have spent a few hours setting up config files to use with the xarcade and it seems when I get everything the way that I want it, the config file fails to load when I select a new game or new platform. I have have config files saved for all the platforms that I use but when I choose another game, it sets the config back to the main retroarch.cfg file and I have to manually load it. I have auto core option enabled so Im not sure what I am missing. Any help out there would be great

auto core option? You mean ‘configuration per-core’? Whether you use that or the override system, the cfgs need to be named in such a way that RetroArch can find them. For per-core configs, it needs to be something like nestopia-libretro.dll.cfg, while overrides need something like Nestopia\Nestopia.cfg (IIRC).
also failing to load automatically here. i have my config files saved as you noted, but it always just keeps the default retroarch.cfg every time i load up a different core or game.
