RetroArch on Steamlink

Hi guys,

I’m not sure what sub-forum I need to ask this question, so sorry if this isn’t the right place. I’ve searched the forums for a fix, but I didn’t found the info I was looking for. Found some, but not enough to help me out.

I want to use RetroArch on my Steamlink. The program is running fine, but the problem is in the controls. I want to use my NES and SNES controllers (USB) with RetroArch on the Steamlink. Every button works fine, only the down and up button are swapped. When I try to manually swap these buttons in the settings menu, nothing happens. The controls are still swapped.

I know it has something to do with Dinput and Xinput, but I’m really not sure what to do with that.

Does anybody have the same problem, or knows a solution?

Easiest solution is probably to open your retroarch.cfg and just swap the values for player 1’s input up and input down.

Hm, that could work maybe. The thing is, when I play directly on my pc, the controls are just fine. Would love to be able to do both. In that case, the fix you mention wouldn’t work.

But I’ll try it anyway. Thanks man!
