Retroarch PC - non Steam - Amiga - Mouse/Keyboard

Good evening,

after I used Retroarch on my Legion Go (non Steam) for a while, i wanted to install it on my PC. So, my setup is a PC with a mouse and a Competition PRO joystick, using the PUAE Core for Amiga games. And now the problem: How the heck can i configure the system for using the mouse AND the joystick the same time? For games like civilization i need to use the mouse, for side scroller I have to use the joystick, But they are not working simultaniously! The problem ist, sometimes you have to use the mouse to skip intros and stuff, and you have to play the game with joystick.

On my Legion Go it was no problem to move the cursor with the touchpad, or the right stick, while using the left stick as a joystick.

Any help? Thanks Dennis

Having spent 3 hours myself trying to get a mouse working on latest Retroarch, I’m no convinced mouse feature is completely broken and literally nobody anywhere on this planet has a solution.

ai attempts to convince you, there’s no such way to use a physical mouse and you need to map mouse controls to a controllers :S :S :S This is totally absurd because I remember using a mouse on Amiga emulation years ago no problems.

What I can see, everyone’s saying use Index 0 for mouse, but that has also changed in more recent updates to use the touchscreen instead on android devices… So “Technically” it should just be a switch touch screen index to use physical mouse instead… if only it were that simple :frowning:

Has anyone in recent times found a solution to using a mouse in retroarch? or is it actually impossible now?

Well, Bro, I fixed it, but just because I had nor problem with it on my Legio Go. Go to Settings - Input - Retropad Binds - Port 1 Controls and take a look, if Mouse-Index is set on Default. If not, change it to default.

There was nothing to fix govna. Always worked, just has a hidden mouse mode in latest version which was not very clear at all. To switch mode you need the hotkey.
