Retroarch won't let me download cores

I am on Windows 10, and Retroarch broke itself within a few minutes:

I can no longer download cores because of this. Can anyone help me with my problem?

That’s not enough information for us. We’ll need a log of the behavior.

If you move your retroarch.cfg to another directory temporarily, does it fix the issue? If not, the problem most likely does not rely inside of RetroArch and may be related to firewall/caching settings and/or general connection issues between you and the server.

Yes, it does. I haven’t thought about doing that. As far as I know, though, Retroarch just stopped letting me download cores after 2 downloads.

Download them Manually here IF Needed:

https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/latest/

Check that the download URL is correct in the retroarch.cfg:

core_updater_buildbot_url = “http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/x86_64/latest/”

(I am using this URL since i am on Win.)

uhmmm… try Online Updater > Core Updater instead of Load Core?

Reinstall and check folder permisions

note: you might need to change your core location

if anyone is having this issue, go to your retroarch config file and search for menu_show_core_updater = “false”, and change it to true. Also change core_updater_show_experimental_cores = “false” to true.

How come some games show on the desk top of lakka but you cant seem to show the cores for the games
