RetroArch won't play game - Windows

I can’t get RetroArch to play a game.

I open the game and it instantly crashes / closes. No system message or anything pops up, not even a “DING” sound.

RetroArch 64bit ( Tried top three versions on download list )

Game Title: Abe’s Exoddus

Platform: PS1

OS: Windows 8.1 Ram: 16gb CPU: i7 4700HQ GPU: GTX 770m

did you get the bios file? And if so, did you put it in the correct folder?

God damn it I knew it was the BIOS. I copied alll 4 Bioses into all the folders and it still didn’t work, what’s the folder it needs to go into?

Ah, found it goes into the system folder (duh) I already did that before though… so I’ll try again.

EDIT:

DID NOT WORK… uggh…

P.S. I’m using 4 BIOS files.

Can someone just upload me their RetroArch file? :'c

are you using cue/bin images

It doesn’t matter how many BIOS files you use if they are all wrong.

Take a look at this page, it should cover anything you need: http://www.libretro.com/index.php/wiki/ … iguration/

yes

you might need rename the bios file to SCPH5501 (at least I did)

… not working.

Here’s what I did…

I downloaded it off of the download section

Unzipped it,

Put the BIOS files into the system folder ( SCPH1001, 5500, 5503 and 7502.BIN )

And doesn’t work…

IS there something I’ve missed?

There is a core information panel, it will tell you what BIOS it needs and whether they are present or not. Start there.

Yes, this is a recurring topic, because for some reason mednafen changed the needed BIOS for PAL games. Now they want a “rare” scph5502 version with a CRC that matches that of 5552, so simply rename the 5552 to 5502 and you are good to go.

If that’s not it, check the cue file is correct.

Not working some reason…

Tried to rename file after downloading fresh from: http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=56

… can someone send me their RetroArch for Windows? (PAL or both if possible)
