RetroArrch blurry OSD and artwork

Can someone please help me with this?

I’m using the latest version of RetroArch for MAME games on my Windows 10 PC. I Use MAME core current. When I insert artwork and start the game, the image is blurry. Also, when I press Tab and the OSD menu appears, it is also blurry and not clearly visible.

When I tried all this on a standalone MAME emulator, there are no such problems, the artwork is crystal clear, as is the OSD menu.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Bilinear Filtering is set to OFF

Attached are the images, the blurry one is from RetroArch, and the crystal clear one is from the standalone MAME emulator

By default, mame-libretro outputs a low-res image that works with shaders that want native resolution, but there’s a core option called “alternate render” that will output a high-res image instead.

Thanks for the quick response.

I tried adjusting that option, and the image is a little clearer, but not as clear as on the standalone MAME emulator.

Also, when I adjust that setting and enable the “alternate render” option, it has a big impact on the gameplay of the game itself, it becomes very slow, choppy, practically unplayable.

Is there any other way to fix this?
