RetroPie 2, hard gpu sync

Not sure if here or the Retropie forum is the best place to ask this but I figured I’d start here.

Is the raspberry pi 2 powerful enough to run hard gpu sync? I’m totally new to raspberry pi/retropie/linux.

Does the pi even have a gpu to sync? Right now I’ve got it set to hard gpu sync at 0 frames and it seems to be working fine, but I’m worried about overheating/stability issues.

GPU hard sync doesn’t really matter/work if you’re running outside of a desktop environment. If you’re running in KMS/GLX (and I think that’s how retropie is setup), it accomplishes the same thing inherently.

good to know, thanks!
