Running game with multiple discs

I’m trying to play a game called “Total Annihilation” 1997 with two discs and two expansions on discs in Windows 98 emulated through doesbox pure. All four discs came in a 7zip file, which retroarch doesn’t like so I unzipped the file and rezipped it as a zip file and ran that in retroarch. Retroarch only seems willing to mount one disc at a time and it only asks which disc once. I have been reading https://docs.libretro.com/library/dosbox_pure/#mount-disc-images-from-inside-zip-files and it says I can switch discs in disc control but when I select the zip I don’t see any options to switch discs, it just says “Appended disc: Total annih.zip” and I can’t choose the other discs. I tried selecting the other discs in windows 98 but the emulated computer doesn’t seem to recognize the disc images in windows 98.

How do I use the other discs?

I suggest unzipping all of them and creating an m3u playlist. I haven’t used this with dosbox-pure, specifically, but it works with most other libretro cores.
