Hello Retroarch Forums!
I’m trying to get my Neo Geo games to run in Retroarch. So far I only got Metal Slug 2 and Metal Slug X to run in “Neo Geo (FB Alpha)”. I have the bios file in the same directory as my roms and in my “system” folder (where I told Retroarch to look for bios files). All of my Neo Geo roms are .zip files.
Any advice on how to get the other games to work?
Usually, arcade ROMs fail to run because they’re from the wrong ROMset. In the case of FBA, you need to search specifically for FBA ROMs. They overlap significantly with MAME sets but they’re not exactly the same.
Google ‘fba roms’ and you should find the ones you need.
You’re correct that putting the neogeo.zip into the same directory as your games is how it should work. Neogeo.zip isn’t like a normal BIOS and is more like a parent ROM.
