I’m using the current Google Play build with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (7-inch) and an Ipega PG-9023 controller. That combination works fine on the main menu, in-game, and within the rGUI.
HOWEVER, I cannot get the save state and load state options to work. At all. Both function as glorified Resume Game options. Does anyone else have that same problem? Is there a fix? I’m really disappointed because Retroarch is the only emulator that works with the Galaxy’s refresh rate.
Make sure you have read/write permissions to whichever directory you’re using for saves (by default, it’s the directory you loaded the ROM from, but you can change it). In kitkat and higher, there may be some complications related to new sandboxing rules that keep apps from writing to the SD card, so you may need to move the saves to internal storage.

Thank you so much. Retroarch is almost perfect now. All it needs is some way to map the GUI button and Zapper/Mouse support.
