On the Sega CD Emulator Genesis Plus GX I used Save state while i was pretty far into the game. I Saved with save state because the Save function on the game its self does not work. I turned off my game and my Tablet. next afternoon I turned on my tablet, started my game, went to use the state i created and it takes me right to where I saved my game at. only it is Frozen there. no buttons will work what so ever. i have tried several times to no avail. can someone tell me how to get my save to work? the game is Lunar 2 Eternal Blue for Sega CD.
Or is there a way to use(transfer) a save (brm file) to retroarch on my android? Transferring a save (brm)file from kega fusion
You might be able to just rename the brm to srm for RetroArch. Not sure, though.
You should use in-game saves whenever possible, but you said it wasn’t working, right? Usually this is because you either A.) don’t have write permissions to the directory it’s trying to save to or B.) you’re not exiting RetroArch cleanly, so it never writes the srm to file.
If A, try changing your save directory in the path options to use a different one that you can write to. If B, either turn on the option to automatically write SRAM to file (I think it does it every 10 seconds or so…?) or just make sure that you exit by going into the in-game RGUI menu and choosing ‘exit RetroArch’ when you’re ready to quit.
