Savesates and ingame saving

im having trouble with saving in any core, so im sure it has to be an issue with how i have retroarch configured, but i dont know what. whenever i use a rom (any core) in game save function, the next time i load the rom, there is no files to load. also whenever i try to use savestate, i just get a message telling me that it failed to save. autosave on exit doesnt work either.

looking for tips where to start in troubleshooting my issue. thanks!

For in-game saves, make sure you exit cleanly (i.e., choose the ‘quit retroarch’ option from RGUI) since it won’t write SRAM to file if you just turn off your wii or whatever.

Otherwise, it sounds like a permissions issue, so make sure your SD card isn’t locked and you have read/write on everything.
