You may want to read the two posts above you. It is most likely an audio decoder issue.
I was actually able to resolve this issue.
I guess some of my game files were either missing or got corrupted. I dusted off my original disc and copied the files over into a new dir. Then re-added the game by pointing into the “resources” folder i think it was. All issues resolved with this error. Full throttle is playing all audio and dialog. It looks amazing with shaders / scanlines / and stretched to 30:17 ratio.
It is odd though, as my original folder does not have the dialog issue with the ScummVM standalone.
The only other issue I have is that the scummvm core is not working well with some sierra games. it keeps hanging every 15 seconds. The games affected most seem to be my sierra titles. (Larry 5, Kings Quest V)
Is launching specific games via command line broken again?
seems so. it worked a few month ago. but now after updating to retroarch 1.4.0 stable and the newest cores, it is not possible to start scummvm games directly anymore.
