So I’m using snes higan acurracy and playing contra 3, some shaders work fine while others don’t. xbr xbrz sabr and many others don’t work, they were working fine just yersterday! so after playing with the settings it turned out that those shaders won’t work if you increase the resolution. So i should just stick with 256x224 for those shaders to work?
yes, stay with native res.
there is essentially no point using those shaders if you use native SNES resolution. it has no pixels to perform the effect.
I don’t think they’re talking about outputting at native res, but rather using the higan core option that downrezzes the image from its default 512x448 to the more common 256x224 res, which plays nicer with shaders.
