Shaders causing game performance issues?

Seems to be worse in 1.3.4, maybe I’m using the wrong core or something?

That was recorded in 1.3.2 using the SNES1.5.3 core. Also, come to think of it, I don’t recall this happening last night, but it’s probably because it was a different game (Super Return of the Jedi) and this issue is happening with Chrono Trigger and Super Star Wars.
