SNES controller not working after configuring N64 controller

Im running retroarch on Windows 10. When I first got it I ordered a snes controller off Amazon, which worked perfectly without the need for remapping. However, I later decided to get an N64 controller for running n64 games (naturally), which I ran into problems with. The controller needed to be reconfigured because the buttons wouldn’t work properly. I eventually figured out what to do, but after I remapped the N64 controller, the SNES controller stopped working. Obviously my guess is that remapping with the n64 screwed up the snes config somehow. Is there any way to get the snes controller working without undoing my configurations for the n64 controller? I’m relatively new to retroarch so I’m not familiar with config settings or anything like that
