[Solved] Severe FPS Drops in Fullscreen

Heyo,

So i got this new laptop. It’s got Windows 10 and a GTX1050. Retroarch in fullscreen runs at 20FPS but if i run it windowed it runs full speed. If i disable the 1050 and run the crummy integrated gpu it doesn’t have this problem.

-I’m using the latest nightly

-Video driver is openGL

-windowed fullscreen off

-vsync on of course

This is probably a bit difficult to replicate or troubleshoot but does anyone know what’s going on?

disable shaders is your using any, else post log.

Make sure your refresh rate is set to 60Hz.

Yeah it is set to 60hz

Nuked the hard drive and reinstalled windows from scratch. It’s fine now. Must have been all that preloaded AIDSware that came with the laptop that was causing issues.

when one says “nuked the hard drive” what exactly does he mean?
