Sonic 2 interlacing not working right with Nvidia and CRTSwitchRes

I’m trying the Sonic 2 multiplayer test that @Alphanu uses to demonstrate interlaced switching working correctly. However, I’m having trouble getting that to work on my Nvidia card. What ends up happening is that every time it switches into or out of interlaced mode, the image gets squished in various ways. Sometimes horizontally and sometimes vertically.

Eventually it will come around back to the correct resolution but the next switch to interlaced will mess it up again.

A quick remedy is to turn on a Custom aspect ratio but that messes up the rest of the game that’s in progressive, giving me the same image problems.

Hi @tym,

Before I can help you. I need to ask a few questions.

What resolution mode are you using?

What OS are you using?

Have you enabled single or double mode interfacing in GensGX options? Or are you using a different core?

As a quick note though. ATI cards are the best to use at least pre R7 models.

Nvidia cards do work. However, depending on the model different options are needed.
