Specific games not working?

I am testing MAME the last few days and i noticed that there is one game so far that doesn’t work for me.

Tiger Road

Every other game works (at least so far). But not this one for some reason. On Standalone MAME it works but on RetroArch it just crashes the program. I tried 2 different cores as well (MAME and MAME20014) and it crashes on both cores.

I wonder if this happens only on my setup? And if it happens to anyone else, do we know the reason? Any other games you discovered that have the same issues?

When it comes to MAME you should mention which version romset you’re using.

Tiger Road (US) from romset 0.176 works fine for me in both MAME 2014 and an older version of MAME 2015 someone gave me (dated 3/15/05). Using RA 1.3.6 stable.

I have romset 0.154.

I used a newer version of the rom and it works now.

I just find it strange that it didn’t work with MAME 2014 either. Version 0.154 was released in July 2014. It was also the only game that didn’t load and i must have tried 200+ games so far.
