Strange vulkan driver crash when streaming with nvenc

hi,

i have the following setup:

  • pc with nvidia gtx1080 ti running steam, added retroarch as non steam game, and running steam remote play over ethernet (steam link), using nvidia nvenc (hardware encoding)
  • retroarch is configured for vulkan in video driver
  • in nvidia driver settings for retroarch, buffer flipping mode is set to 1 (without it steam remote play doesnt send the video image)

so to reproduce the problem, i start some games for ps1 core and switch to snes core, after some time when i start a game it will crash the video driver. its random i think in the sense of when it happens, but it happens after some time.

then i found out that if i setup retroarch to log in file (event register), the issue does not happen anymore

does anyone knows or have experienced this?
