Every once in a while, a random controller button press will trigger RetroArch to stop what it’s doing and show the blue menu screen with “Search:” in the center.
I have no idea what this is for, but I can’t figure out how to exit out of it! I always have to Alt-F4 RetroArch and that’s really annoying.
What feature is this, and how do I exit out of it? Can I un-bind it completely?
Oh man, I feel your pain.
I absolutely HATE some of the hotkeys in the GUI because of things like this. I’m sure some people have use of these functions, but flat out screws with my setup.
I think you can exit the ‘search’ by hitting enter on the keyboard though…
In the retroarch.cfg you can change the joypad button that things like ‘search’ are assigned to. I’d have to check, but I recall setting mine to something really high that no gamepad I have would ever hit.
Every-time I tried to unbind them it just defaulted back to it’s normal button.
