Stuck on Chrono Trigger - Controller bug

Hello, im playing Chrono Trigger with bsnes balanced but i can’t get through the “Zabie” part where i need to use the sequence “X A B Y”. I read that its a common problem with emulators, and i tried to even use keyboard instead of joystick, but im stuck because it says its the wrong sequence.

Any ideas of how i may solve this problem?

I’ve played through CT a few times via RetroArch and never encountered any issues. Do you have a savestate from just before it so we can try to reproduce?

Hmm. I couldn’t get the state to load. Maybe someone else will have better luck.
