Super mario 64 issues in two cores

Hello everyone, I have a couple of questions regarding Super Mario 64.

In Parallel, it seems to work great, except when Mario runs in shallow water, then the textures get weird and the water flickers between different textures throughout the game (like wood, sliding star doors to bowser, orange ovals, etc) is that the emulator itself or is that something that can be fixed in settings?

When I try to use the Mupen64plus core to see if the water has the same texture issue, I hear the audio but it just gives me a black screen.

I don’t know my exact specs as my PC was built for me as a gift, I know my CPU isn’t great but I think it’s acceptable, and my GPU is a GTX 980ti.

Any kind of help is greatly appreciated!

What video driver / graphics plugin are you using with ParaLLEl-N64?

The video driver is gl, any other ones either crash Retroarch at the start or doesn’t load at all. The graphics plugin was set to auto but I tried each one and the issue continued.

I found out the issue, I dumped the ROM the wrong way, once I dumped it again (the correct way), everything works fine.
