Swapping Disk With Beetle PSXHW

I’m trying to swap disks in Monster Rancher using Beetle PSXHW. I had this working at one point but for the life of me I can’t remember how I did it.

I eject the current disk and append the new one- but then the core loads the new game rather then staying with the old one. If append disk just loads a totally new game- what’s the use of it in the context of changing disks within the same game?

Edit

Okay, I can now confirm this is a bug in RetroArch 1.7.1- the problem does not occur in 1.7.0!

Also, I apologize for making a multiple topics on this issue- I could not figure out how to delete this one.

back in PS’ early days, you needed to insert the black PS disk and swap the pirated disk to play that… but why do you need to do this nowadays?

Games can take more then 1 Disc

so you can place another game and play both…
