The best Android device ever : let's find it!

Hi!

I can’t found the right device I need to make the (almost) perfect emulator portable device ever!

I think it needs :

  • A screen (tablet or smartphone)
  • HDMI output (even with an adaptator) without latency
  • USB Host (Add up to 4 wireless 360 controllers in RetroArch)
  • Good performances (Play up to PSX, N64 and PPSSPP in good conditions)
  • Optional : a dock that allow to charge, HDMI output and USB input ?

And… not to expensive if possible! :stuck_out_tongue:

What do you recommand?

Thanks a lot guys ! =D

Hmm. I would look into the Nvidia Shield Tablet with a USB hub.

Hi, thanks for your reply !

So, the Nvidia Shield Tablet seems good… It’s powerful and it allows to have an additionnal 128Gb SD Card. And I found that if we are root, we can plug the 360 Wireless Adapter with the OTG USB cable. Can you confirm that it will work with RetroArch with emulators that support up to 4 players ? Or I have to

I have another question : it use the micro-usb port to charge the tablet. Is there a way to charge the tablet AND to use the 360 Wireless Adapter ?

Thank you for your help.

Get one of these for your nVidia Shield Tablet: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CXA … UTF8&psc=1

Then get a USB Hub: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DQF … UTF8&psc=1 or this if you want wired LAN included: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OKR … UTF8&psc=1

You can use it to plug your 360 wireless controller, usb keyboard, & usb mouse all at the same time while charging

Galaxy S5 with a Mhl Adapter (for live 60 fps hdmi output) and 4 Ps3 Sixaxis Controllers connected over bluetooth does also work fine. Its mine setup for the school breaks
