"This feature will be necessary for future systems like PlayStation2"

Oh my god, Oh my god, Oh my god !!! Whay does this means ? Can you tell us more ???

That’s sort of what I had figured. Last I had heard PCSX2 wasn’t a very viable candidate for a libretro core be it either opposition from the authors or just the way it was written I can’t recall.

I think someone said another PS2 emulator has potential, but it’s currently far far FAR behind PCSX2 in quality and wouldn’t yield much (if any) benefits by doing a libretro core with it… I think it was just called “Play” or something.

This is all just me remembering a conversation on the boards from long ago. So don’t take it as gospel or anything.

TL;DR - I wouldn’t personally wouldn’t say to hold your breathe for a PS2 core anytime in the near future.

PCSX2 is not very libretro friendly, it requires a hugely powerful PC and complex plugins.
Forget about mini-PC’s, PI products, or anything portable.
