Tilt control for racing games

Do you think is was possible to implement tilt control especially for racing games by letting the user decide to use tilt control for [ul] [li]D-pad[/:m:3uya8yik][/li][li]Left analog stick (depending on core)[/:m:3uya8yik][/li][li]Right analog stick (depending on core)[/:m:3uya8yik][/li][li]Nothing (disables tilt control)[/:m:3uya8yik][/ul][/li] An additional option could be choosing to control [ul] [li]2 directions (left + right)[/:m:3uya8yik][/li][li]2 directions (top + bottom)[/:m:3uya8yik][/li][li]4 directions (up + down + left + right)[/:m:3uya8yik][/li][li]2 + 2 directions (top + down of left analog stick, left + right of right analog stick)[/:m:3uya8yik][/li][li]2 + 2 directions (left + right of left analog stick, top + down of right analog stick)[/*:m:3uya8yik][/ul]via tilt control.[/li] What’s your opinion?

This is a thing I’ve talked with Squarepusher about in the past. I think just having a toggle for accelerometer to map to left or right analog would be adequate, since we already have analog-dpad mode.

I may bring it up with him again, since the android input refactor may make it less problematic to implement…
