Transfer mcd001.mcr to EPSXE (PC)

I’m trying to transfer the memory card save file from Retroarch on my iPhone (PSXRearmed) to my EPSXE (PC) because of a glitch… and was glad that it uses the same .mcr format. Previously, I just needed to copy/paste it from the original device into the EPSXE memory card folder and rename it appropriately, and I could load the memory card save file in EPSXE.

However, when I do this with Retroarch, it doesn’t seem to recognise the memory card save file (i.e. no ‘game’ save file found). Is there a workaround to this? Thanks in advance.

Your post is a bit vague. After ePSXe has saved to the memory card file, it is no longer usable with the PCSX-ReARMed core? Is that the issue?

One thing you could try I guess is to make sure both ePSXe and RetroArch have saved, then use a memory card manager (PCSX-R on Windows has a built-in one in the GUI) and just transfer the save from file A to B that way.

Actually, it’s the other way around. After saving to the memory card under the PCSX-ReARMed core, that memory card file becomes no longer usable with ePSXe. (despite both using .mcr)

In any case, you shouldn’t be using epsxe anymore. Try PCSX-R with these plugin set ups:
