Translation questions

Hi there, I’m the guy who has translated libretro/RetroArch to Spanish. I had a couple of questions to ask, very basic ones, but I was unable to do so in the forum until today (Darn delay with the activation email…)

[ul] [li]“Threaded” refers to “Multithreading” stuff?[/li][li]“Hard” refers to “Hardware”, as in “rendering via hardware”?[/li][/ul]

I also have a comment: I have translated the button references, but those were in an “english” named file instead of the usual _XX files. You guys might want to update this.

1.) yes, multithreading 2.) not exactly. If you’re referring to ‘hard GPU sync’ it’s more like “strict”, as in it forces the emulation to present frames right as the GPU requires them instead of generating them as soon as possible and then holding onto them until screen refresh.

Thanks for the info.

EDIT: Here’s another one I forgot to note: What does “Threaded data runloop” mean?

threaded data runloop is what lets you keep doing things while it fetches assets and cores, etc. from the downloader, and it lets images (for boxart; not really used yet but in the future) load without hanging. Without it, you have to wait for the download or image-load or whatever to finish before you can do anything else.
