Hi. So I have a question regarding this Core or any core that plays PC-Engine/Turbografx-16 games.
I see that it does have the option to have a button toggle on the Turbo, however, there doesn’t seem to be a way to make a button change the speed of the turbo for Button I and II.
Originally on the PC-Engine controller, it has two switches above Button I and II that turn on the turbo for each button, each switch having a Slow and Fast mode. Its pretty handy for specific games, such as Galaga '90 where the fire speed is slower, and Gradius where the Faster turbo speed can be more helpful.
While I would love to, I unfortunately don’t have a Turbografx-16 controller, as well as unable to find a 3rd party one for PCs at a affordable price. So for the meantime, I’m using my Super Nintendo Switch Controller, with Y turning on the turbo for Button II and X for Button I. It works for now, but it doesn’t let me choose the speed.
While there is an option in the Core’s settings to change the speed for each button, I was hoping that there was a way to be able to change the turbo speed for each button by linking the speed setting to a button on my controller. I would make the L and R button change the speed, or if its possible, let X & Y cycle through the turbo setting, going from Slow > Fast > Off.
Is there is a way that this can be done, and if so would someone be able to explain to me how to do something like that? I’m using the Beetle Super Grafx core, but if this can be done with a different core, I can switch over to that core instead.
