Title says it all really, I am unable to Load PSX games on lakka with beetle (crashes to Lakka logo and reboots Retroarch) and PCSX-Rearmed says unable to load content. I am however able to run the games just fine on Ubuntu in Retroarch 1.7.3 (All cores work fine) I have tested this with the exact same Game dumps and the exact same bioses everything works perfect as expected. I have even tested with Mednafen straight from the devs website this also works fine. Any Ideas what i could be missing because my thoughts are if everything works on Ubuntu straight out the box then surely it should be the same for lakka? Any help at this point is greatly appreciated.
Try Load Core -> Beetle PSX, then Information -> Core Information. This should tell you whether there are any BIOS files that it can’t find. If any file is missing, it could be that you placed it in the wrong directory. You can also go to the Directory settings in RetroArch to see where it looks for BIOS files.
When I check core settings it says bios is present, md5sum checks out fine too.
I actually fixed the issue today, it turns out that interacting with lakka in any way with ubuntu was causing the problem. I dual boot windows 10 and ubuntu on my laptop, I originally set lakka up with win32diskimager. After trying to set up lakka again with ubuntu (Which I use daily!) I had a read error on the usb, after trying many times and it continuously failing with the same cp read error input/output on first boot, I created the drive with win32diskimager (Lakka worked instantly again) After trying to copy games from ubuntu again I had the same issues. It was only when I sent the files from my android phone using samba that games started to load. I have not had any other issues with any other program or software in ubuntu and it is incredibly frustrating I cannot use a linux file system to send files to the USB drive lakka is installed on.
Sounds like a permissions issue.
