Using RetroArch without Grahpic Card

I have a Laptop that I take when I go on Holiday but I don’t think it has a Graphics Card.

Only have one that is on the MotherBoard

So can I still use RetroArch and Cores without one?

depends on what you play. if its a newer laptop the igpu there should be able to run most cores, pro bably not citra or dolphin though

It’s a Few Years Old but I have been able to play up SNES and Gensis for Consoles and up DS for Handheld on it with Standalone Emulators

Better give specs of laptop, ie CPU, amount of ram and what video card onboard.

I have:

  • Intel Pentium n350 2.58ghz

  • Intel HD Graphics

  • 3GB DDR3 L Memory

So it has an Intel HD graphics card. You should be able to run everything from PS1 and below.

It may run ParaLLEl N64 with old hle graphic plugins. Intel HD has Opengl 2.1 and DirectX 10.1, claimed by intel.

and DS and PSP for Handhelds?

Depends on the core, I run DS on an old Android tablet (dual core ARM 1.2 GHz or so with 1gb RAM and Mali 400) using standalone Drastic emulator. Better give it a try.

Is this the Core:

Intel Pentium n350 2.58ghz

I played some games on Desmue(StandAlone) on the Laptop Before

Drastic is a standalone closed source paid emulator. The DS core’s in Retroarch require much beefier CPU specs I’m afraid.
