I updated Retroarch and cores to newer versions recently and Flycast is completely broken now, from sprites to 3D objects missing, reducing the games to a black screen. And features got removed, like xbrz upscaling. Why? Also using D3D11 instead of Vulkan.
What a mess.
There’s a way to restore the previous version. RA does a backup of the cores before updating. Go to Settings->Core->Manage Cores, select the flycast core, and then at bottom do Restore Backup.
You can also set the option Lock Installed Core there to prevent the core updater from updating that core.
It’s back to normal.
