Been looking for a nice easy to use set top box for Retroarch on my TV but want to be able to use NTSC/CRT shaders, I was wondering if the Amazon Fire TV’s GPU is up to snuff for that?
It’s the same GPU as a Galaxy S4 or HTC One.
I have an HTC One and it gets about half speed for cgwg’s CRT shader. I haven’t tried Hyllian’s CRT on it, but it’s likely to be fullspeed or very close to it. The NTSC shader requires float framebuffers, which I don’t think work on mobile…? At least, when I tried it, everything was tinted pink, which is what happens without float framebuffers, IIRC. It was fullspeed, though!
