Wii - Change 'back to menu' button combo?

I love RetroArch! I have trouble though. I use an SNES controller modded to fit in the Gamecube port, and unfortunately I dont have the right analog stick (which is necessary to bring me back to the menu/settings.) Is there a way I can circumvent this issue? For instance holding down ‘X and Y’ together instead of using the right analog stick?

There’s no other button combo, but the reset button on the Wii does the same thing.
