Win64 and Android Test Builds

I didn’t want to hijack hunterk’s thread, so I started my own. Here are my compiles of RetroArch for 64-bit Windows and for Android 4.2.2 or higher:

I will try to update weekly or when possible, also these are not official releases but development releases so expect some bugs.

These are all the cores available at the time that compiled successfully, though I may trim down the Android releases in the future since it’s a lot easier to remove unwanted cores from Windows but not Android.

I almost forgot to mention, the Android builds are for armv7, no x86 nor MIPS.

Changes: [Both] Updated: RetoArch & Mupen64plus cores

[Android] Added: Dinothawr, FBA, fceumm, Genesis Plus GX, NXengine, Prboom, Quicknes, SNES9x, SNES9x Next, TyrQuake cores

Thanks

One question though. I downloaded the android apk from 10/27 but the extension is. apk.exe. if I delete the .exe it gives an error. I just downloaded it to my phone. Do I need to do something with it on a PC first?

Edit - I see it’s because I forgot to uncheck the box to use the file factory downloader…

Does PICODRIVE build on windows? I’ve been trying to try 32X

Whenever I try to load majora’s mask it just kicks me back to the retroarch menu. This is on my galaxy s3 running cm10.1. I’ll have to try it on my nvidia shield.

Tested it on the Galaxy S4 with Google Play Edition ROM. Works fine - with both gln64 and Glide64.

See I don’t even know what that means. I load up retroarch and see mupen64 plus so I select that. Then I select my rom(which I know works from n64oid or mupen64 from the play store). I see nothing that says anything about glide64 so maybe I’m doing something wrong or some sort of plugin needs to be enabled that I don’t know how to do or something… Does the same thing on my shield.

You can select your plugin via core options menu in RGUI (the green menu)

Thanks. I can get into the rgui if I do it quick before the game force close but neither plug in works. I suppose I’ll just wait.

Why cores like mame 2003 are missing? Just asking  EDIT: Another thing, with Super Mario 64, the Mupen 64 core crashes, how the ROMS are supposed to be load? I need the bios? Thank you

Works fine here. No BIOS required. I think you need to need Glide64mk2.ini in the system folder.

Also make sure your roms are not 7z or rar, only zip is supported afaik

Updates to: RetroArch Genplus GX Mednafen (Android) mupen64plus VBA-M (Added to Android)

Though only a release for the Win64 build as the Android port keeps crashing when I go to select a core.

@AndresSM, Using Maister’s toolchain for Windows is a no, but I use a different toolchain that can. Also there is a bug in the libretro-super’s libretro-build-common.sh that I fixed in my personal builds scripts but I had forgottent to fix until now.

@isadic, At the moment I can’t get the Android core of MAME2003 to compile.

I can’t get the Mupen64 core to run any games. Is there a specific format it is looking for? The games I have have a .v64 extension. Whenever I try to load a game, it crashes saying “Unfortunately, RetroArch has stopped” and going back to the Main Menu. It will also occasionally crash all the way out to the launcher with no message. I’m unable to access RGUI before it crashes, and going into TV Mode, loading the core (but not a game) and then going into Core Options presents me with “No options available.”

Also, please use something other than File Factory… it’s terrible.

You can always just run CMD and then retroarch there so you can check the output when it crashes

@InsanityOnABun, it’s not just you, the mupen64plus core is doing the same for me and also I can’t get any core options either on the Android port but can on the Win64 port and everything works just fine on the Win64 port. There are issues with the Android port, and hopefully with these public test builds we can help the devs pin point the problems that arise.

please make a build whit mame 2003 for android.

thx graet work.
