Win64 and Android Test Builds

That’s the default save location. If your saves are in the rom folder you need to set a custom path to point there otherwise it will always try to save to the default. That’s new and the cause is that google doesn’t allow apps writing to the SD anymore

if your roms are in the SD and you’re using kitkat you might need this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta … dfix&hl=es

Ok, thanks. Maybe the Retroarch settings still need to be changed to reflect the new default location then. When I go to the Paths settings it says the saves and states will reside in the rom folder if not set. Right now it doesn’t really look like there is a way to make it use the rom folders like it used to be.

Anyway, I don’t have a lot of saves so it isn’t a huge deal for me to move the saves I do have.

Did you fix the makefile for PPSSPP windows or did you just build with MSVC?

Whenever you have some time.Help me with your toolchains still have problems with MAME/MESS/UME crashing on 2.9.1 and UME just locking up with 2.8.1.

Hope you’re feeling better btw

I gotta make this quick,

@7rtype, I will asap and I will get back to you

@retroben, emu-cr takes MY compiles and posts them as their own, check the dates of their RA posts and notice they match mine, I can even prove they steal mine as I time stamp the compile dates into the version of RA (look at the bottom of RGUI on the Win64 builds)

@AndresSM, I will have a chance tomorrow to post up my toolschains for you. Also, PPSSPP was built using VS2013 & MAME/<ESS/UME with GCC 4.9.0. I has originally tried out building MAME with GCC ore-4.9.1 but the build had failed so I didn’t bother. This time I built/re-built everything except MAME stuff * bSNES stuff with GCC 4.9.1 And as best as I can tell everything seems fine (loads/plays/closes ok).

@BlockABoots, there was a typo in my build script that updates (adds/deletes) the Shader repo into my releases, fixed now. Thnx for the heads up.

YES,lordashram is right. Everytime he uploaded his build…then EmuCR had a post with build after…LOL

Where can I find the update? Does it include the Lakka GUI?

That’s the main idea of what EmuCR does. They make it so much easier to access the latest Git and SVN updates by uploading precompiled builds.

They grab the latest updates (your compiles) and change them into immediately usable files (APK in Android’s case) so end-users don’t have to grab a massive 2GB+ Development Kit just to manually create an apk themselves, only to have it fail to create the apk. All end-users have to do is grab the compressed archive from one of the EmuCR mirrors, extract the apk file, and install.

EmuCR even lists the currently non-functional PS3 and 3DS emulators.

But lordashram includes an apk for Android on his Dropbox linked in the first post. EmuCR just rehosts it along with the 7z file for Windows.

BTW, lordashram, I only see the 2014-08-10 builds on the Dropbox; it doesn’t look like the 8-21 build is up there.

Thanks for the builds as always and hope your health is improving

@Awakened, fixed. Don’t I look silly, lol.

@AndresSM, I zipped up my gcc-4.7.3 & gcc-4.9.0 MinGW-w64 toolchains and put them in my dev_tools folder in my dropbox.

I’m still trying to figure out what the hell is going on with my Android builds of MAME.

I’m still not seeing anything new up there. Is it possible your Dropbox link changed?

Yeah im not seeing the latest builds either in the dropbox link.

Also is there a build which includes the Lakka frontend yet?

Sorry guys, I have 2 dropbox accounts and it keep syncing up to my personal account, fixed for sure now.

Also thnx everyone for the kind words, my first eye is finally starting to get detail back in my eye but it is also causing me to have double vision while it continues to heal.

Greatly appreciated as always, lordashram (especially now, that i have a x64 computer0 .

Edit: by the way… there’s an error that keeps popping up about “ppge_atlas.zim” not being present in the PPSPP assets folder, when using that core.

That means you need ppge_atlas.zim  You can find it within the official PPSSPP distribution or in the repo if I’m not mistaken. You need to place it in your SYSTEM directory, not assets. I’ve been meaning to change that error to reflect that but I never got around to do it.

You should create a PPSSPP folder in your system dir and place the file there. Additionally you may need fonts from the official PPSSPP or from a real PSP, those go into system\PPSSPP\flash0\font

Hear rumblings that there’s a 3DO and Amiga cores, could anyone compile these and upload them ?

Still can’t save states in MESS with latest build, it tells me “Failed to open file for save operation.”. Tried many different core options, removed all my config files, still the same.

It’s working in MESS stand-alone, I can see the sta folder with the states inside.

No debug message, no clue what’s going on. =(

Works for me, it’s saving in SAVES\mess\states es\7.sta for instance

What about Mame ? Can we use save states, and nvram, yet ? The former is great for keeping high-scores, even if the machine doesn’t support it. Thanks for the build, works great.

That has always worked, if mame supports saves for the driver that is, just enable auto save in core options
