Working retroarch cores on 3ds?

Thinking on buying a 3ds now that retroarch works on it, but I want to know first if all cores or what cores run full speed. Could a 3ds owner tell me about what cores run fullspeed please? And do you need to alter your 3ds in anyway to use retroarch or roms?

bump, any advice?

why don’t you just download it and check the archive for the cores included? There is a rathjer popular thread about his here:
