I just recently set up Lakka on a Rock64, and uploaded Mario Kart Double Dash. It scanned fine, and I can choose to run the game, though when I do it shows the wrong cores to run the game. Am I doing something wrong? I only downloaded the Dolphin emulator, so I don’t know why these other cores are even listed.
Lakka comes bundled with all of the cores that are compatible with it, AFAIK. I’m pretty sure that board isn’t going to get anywhere near full speed with the dolphin core, unfortunately.
So is this a problem with the board not being able to run it? Or is there something wrong in retroarch?
The board isn’t powerful enough. It’s less powerful than a Tegra X1, which doesn’t get full speed either.
The build I based this off of could run the PlayStation and PSP cores, so do those require less computing power than the dolphin core?
Yes, significantly less.
Ok. Well thank you for that painful bit of information
