On Nexus player (tested with 6.0 and 7.0) stable and nightlies slow to a crawl when using XMB. Going back to the menu the framerate of the background starts chopping up, and then considerably slows down the entire android platform. Sounds like a memory leak or an orphaned spawned process. Anyone else experiencing this?
There were some changes to the ribbon shader recently. Can you see if the problem persists with the ribbon disabled?

Ah, the changes have been over the past few days. It would still be good to see if the issue resolves without the ribbon, though, because that tells us whether it’s an issue with XMB itself or the ribbon code, specifically.
